So proud of Ski Brule’s Georgie Rae competing at the U.P. Championship Rodeo and honored to have her representing Ski Brule at the event. Georgie sang the national anthem throughout the three day rodeo and competed for the UP Championship Rodeo Queen title. Many of you may recognize Georgie from working at Ski Brule often times found on her snowboard taking photographs of events, teaching lessons, at the kid’s center, setting equipment at rental, bussing tables in the cafe, bartending and singing the national anthem.
Here’s what Georgie wrote about the experience:
“A great big congratulations to all the girls, who completed along side me this weekend for the title of 2014 Miss U.P. Rodeo! We should all be very proud of our display of eligibility this weekend, especially Miss Emilie Samppala on the big win and honor of representing the U.P. Pro Rodeo all over the Midwest for the next year! A shout out to Brooke Granquist for being an amazing representative of our area and the sport of rodeo!
An update for my fan club out there, I am now the 2014 1st Runner-Up to Miss UP Rodeo, and was awarded the horsemanship award! I cannot thank you all enough for your love and support along the way,
