Father’s Day is this weekend.  It’s going to be a very different Father’s Day this weekend for me as I had to say ‘goodbye’ to the greatest man I’ve every known, my father.   I am truly blessed to have had such an amazing Dad.  And I wish for one more afternoon together or hearing his voice on the phone.

My father fought his battle against cancer for a year and in that time, it reinforced how lucky I was to call him ‘Poppa’.  Don’t miss a moment to tell your Dad that  you love him, share a dinner … spend time together, no matter how short of time it may be, it is all wells spent time.

So this weekend, go see your Dad, call him, spend the day with him, surprise him, tell him you love him.  If you Dad skis, make time to take him skiing because that’s what he really wants .. time with you.

Happy Father’s Day to all the Dad’s, Uncles and men that positively impact another’s life.

“I love you, Dad, and want you to know, I feel your love wherever I go. Whenever I’ve problems, you’re there to assist. The ways you have helped me would make quite a list. Your wisdom and knowledge have shown me the way. And I’m thankful for you as I live day by day. I don’t tell you enough how important you are. In my universe you’re a bright shining star.”
