Bass Festival Weekend

Can you believe it is already July?  This summer is flying by!  Iron County has so many great events year round for everyone to enjoy.  This weekend is the annual Bass Festival in Crystal Falls.  Tonight is the Nylund’s seventh annual Boxing Invitational! Doors open at 5:30pm and the event starts at 7pm!  Tomorrow morning, Saturday, starting at 10am a parade will make its way on Superior Avenue.  The theme of this years parade is “Celebrating 50 Years of Fun.”  Canoe races will start at 11:30 following the parade on the Paint River.  There will also be a community picnic with music starting at noon.  Sunday starts with a full pancake breakfast with sausage and ham at the VFW Post on Superior Avenue from 8am-noon.  The “Run Your Bass Off” half, 10k and 2 miler are also on Sunday morning!  The festivities continue, with the community picnic and volleyball tournament at noon at Runckle Lake Park. There will also be concessions with food and refreshments.  Sounds like a great way to spend the weekend!
