UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow what a day!  Not one I want to experience again.  High winds today.  Gusts of 50 MPH – knocked out the power and the phones.  I understand that much of the Upper Peninsula is out of power.  Just got word that WE Energies in the parking lot at Ski Brule to start working on getting us up and running again.  Certainly not the day I wanted to have.  Did you see that lady walk up .. YES WALK UP .. Big Bear?  To tell the whole two chairs with guest on them what was happening.  WOW was that ever a work out.  Sure I could have just let them sit there and wait but that’s not the Brule way.  We care about our guests and try to deliver the best guest service anywhere … which is exactly why I walked up Big Bear to check on the three people on the lift.  We got everyone down very quickly thanks to the secondary motor and lift evac.  Thankfully it wasn’t too cold of a day sitting on the chairs.  This certainly isn’t what anyone wants to happen during the day … but nature strikes and nothing we can do about it but keep moving forward with a positive attitude and work at resolving the problems because that is what we do.  I’ve been at Ski Brule for 20 years this season and I’m happy to say this is the first time this has happened .. and sure hope it’s the last time for the next 20 years.  Anyhow, this gal needs to get some shut eye to be able to welcome  you to Ski Brule with a smile in the morning.  Thank you for being a part of the Ski Brule family!
