Thanks for the good words!

Our family was fortunate enough to spend the New Year weekend at Ski Brule Resort. We had a great time! It was very family friendly and a great family experience.

Thank you for such a great time!

We have attached a picture of our boys (Patrick and Matthew) while they were snowboarding.

Hi,

I misplaced my survey form, but I wanted to give some comments.

Thanks to the whole staff at Ski Brule for a wonderful 3 day stay.  From Tom in lodging, all the lift operators, Homestead staff, Allyson in the bar, the Bear's Den staff, the Nastar operator....They all went over and above the usual hospitality expected to make our short vacation a most pleasant experience.  We will be back!

~Julie

Dear Ski Brule Staff,

I just wanted to drop you a note to share this photo with Bob and also to let you know what a great experience I've had working with Brule and your ski instructors the last two years.

Last year I brought my niece to Brule on Dec. 26th as her Christmas present.  Arlen was her instructor and he did a fantastic job.  He was so encouraging.  My niece felt really comfortable with him and learned a great deal.  Afterward she kept telling her Mom how nice the instructor was.

This year I brought my niece again as well as her younger brother.  I had to re-schedule twice, once due to a snowstorm and again due to a scheduling conflict.  Your staff was extremely accommodating in helping me make those changes.  Bob was our instructor (March 2nd) - he is such a professional.  Like Arlen, he was great with the kids and they learned a ton, especially my nephew, this was his first time downhill skiing.  At the end of the day Bob told my nephew to let him know when he was coming again so they could take a few runs together now that they are 'ski buddies'.  My nephew just last weekend said he would let Bob know next year when we were there and he hoped to ski with him again!

Thanks for the memories and for helping me encourage the kids to be active and enjoy the outdoors. I look forward to many more trips to Brule with the family (I have 6 nieces and nephews total!)

Please share this note with Arlen and Bob and whoever is in charge of hiring them - they are both treasures!

Sincere thanks,
Stephanie

I mentioned that I would be emailing these photos to you of Apache.

I don't know of another ski hill in the Midwest that has a horse for people to get close to on their hill. So many people like horses (and dream of having a horse) that this is a nice exhibit to have there. No doubt many people (besides me) even miss seeing the deer that used to live there as well.

I enjoyed this weekend spent skiing at Ski Brule.

Best Regards,
Debrael,

This little note is long overdue.

We were there last year for your learn to ski program and I just wanted to say how much we really appreciated the lessons with Bob (retired physical education teacher.  My son is not very coordinated and he really was so patient and took extra time to work with him.  We will never forget him.  Thanks for having great instructors like Bob!

Hello Ski Brule!

We were up there this past weekend and brought our 2 1/2 year daughter, Autumn. We had private lessons with her at 10:45. We both didn't think she was going to go through with it.

We got there at around 10am. The moment we walked in the door, Lisa greeted us and became Autumn's best friend! All she talked about was Lisa. While I filled out the rental form, Lisa played with Autumn. We then got Autumn all bundled up and went to the rental area where Lisa came with. The 2 gentlemen there were wonderful in getting her to put her boots and helmet on. They gave Autumn her skis and we were off to the Bunny Hill for our lesson. When we got to the top of the hill, a gentleman came over and said our instructor would be right with us. A little bit later, Betsy came over and we started the lessons. At first Autumn did not want to put those skis on, but with Betsy's help we got them on. Betsy took Autumn down the hill 4 times before it just got too cold for Autumn. Betsy did a great job with her! Thanks Betsy!

We went inside where the whole staff was asking her how she did and if she had fun. Which of course her answer was yes! While I ran out to the truck to get some things I needed, Betsy and Erika played with Autumn. When I got back in, Autumn made another best friend, Erika. Erika was going up to the lodge for lunch and so were we. Autumn held Erika's hand the whole way up. Once we got there, Autumn saw Lisa and was so happy. We got our lunch and went upstairs to eat, the whole time Autumn wanted to go sit by Erika. Once we were done with lunch, we went back out on the Bunny Hill. Coco, Duane and a few others in the rental area again treated Autumn great! Playing with her, helping her get ready. All the while, all Autumn talked about was how much fun she had skiing and how she wanted to see Lisa.

I cannot thank the staff members at Ski Brule enough for all their help and friendly service. I was so nervous going up there with a 2 1/2 year old. I thought she was going to hate it and we would have a miserable time. Next thing I know, it's 4pm! I wish we would have stayed the night! 2 days later, Autumn is still talking about Skiing and Lisa. :-) Thanks Lisa!

By the end of the day Autumn was going down the bunny hill without us holding her hand. All the guests couldn't believe how good she was doing.

Thanks Ski Brule for making Autumn's first skiing experience a great one!

To the Ski Brule Staff:

My name is Amy and we brought our three children up to Ski Brule last week for a winter getaway. This was our fourth time at Ski Brule, but it was the first time for my youngest daughter Emily (age 4). We were completely impressed with the friendly and helpful demeanor of all of the Ski Brule staff. My husband Brad and I purchased the K2 Ski Package, with help from Jessica. We were so happy with our new skis. But even better, we got to ski with one of the Ski Brule staff instructors named Arlen. He went down the hills with us a few times to test out our newly purchased equipment and give us pointers. He was absolutely wonderful!! I learned a lot from him and was able to ski much more confidently.

My son Jacob (age 10) learned to ski at Ski Brule when he was 6 years old. This year he was so proud because he did all 17 runs at Ski Brule. His two favorite are Big Bear and The Rapids. Yes, he even did the jumps during Night Skiing.

My daughter Emily went to SkiWee and learned how to ski. She is now an expert on the Bunny Hill and even attempted Maple Syrup. We also took advantage of the child care provided at Ski Brule for a couple of afternoons. Emily had a great time there as well coloring, having snacks, and playing with the friendly staff there.

And to top off our extended weekend, we of course had to go to the Homestead BBQ. This is the best food to be found at Ski Brule and the staff is so accommodating.

Thank you Ski Brule for a wonderful winter vacation!!

We will recommend your resort to all of our family and friends!

Thanks again Ski Brule for an amazing day!

Autumn had an amazing time not only skiing but with playing with the animals and jumping in the bounce house.  She of course loved the entire staff, especially Lisa!  See you this fall!

Staff and Instructors,

Hi, my name is Jeremy and this last weekend I brought my son Jack, age five, and his cousin Katherine, age nine, up to Ski Brule for their first time skiing. I also brought my brother to help out and he wanted to learn snowboarding at the same time. I enrolled the two little ones in SKIwee Class and headed to the slopes. I wasn't sure how it would all go, but I was very pleasantly surprised when I picked them up at 12:00 Noon.

I wanted to take a moment to say thank you for helping me out. The day turned out to be a total success and we all had a great time. Your staff and instructors could not have made the day any better. Jack and Katherine have been chatter boxes since we left at 4:30pm on Saturday.

We were walking through the rental building at 3pm, 3 hours after Jack and Katherine's class and three staff members flagged us down and asked how things were going and helped us fix Jack's binding. You go out of your way to make this experience great and it has paid off, they wanted to come back up on Sunday for another round. We will be back when time permits.

By the way, by the end of the day, Katherine was making great turns with her skis together and had great control. Jack's only 5, so just snowplowing or making a pizza like you all taught them works great for him right now. I had him making some small turns also, but he was hesitant. My brother made it down Homestead and Maple Syrup once without crashing by the end of the day on the board.

All in all it was a great day, Thanx again!

Sincerely,
Jeremy
